Aliana de la Guardia
Soprano
Cuban-American soprano Aliana de la Guardia, deemed "Especially likable and pleasing" on stage by Richard Dyer of The Boston Globe (2/8/06), always strives for strong, natural and moving performances with emotional versatility. She has an interest in exploring many mediums of performing which stems from her acting training for both stage and screen. Each performance provides a new, exciting, and enhancing experience. Ms. de la Guardia is a graduate from The Boston Conservatory with both a bachelors degree in Vocal performance (emphasis in Opera) and with masters degree in Vocal Performance.

Ms. de la Guardia's affinity for contemporary music continues to grow with every experience. As an avid performer with the Ludovico ensemble she has presented and premiered several works by local composers Rudolf Rojahn: Quadruple Concerto (2004), Bone Palace Ballet (2004), Wintering the Queen (2005), and the premier staging of "Lust" (April 2007), a song cycle for soprano and piano directed by Sanford Sylvan, and Lachlan Fife: "Prayers of God's Lost Children" (2005) for orchestra, chorus and soloists. Other performances with the Ludovico Ensemble include Gorecki's "Goodnight" (2005), and "Wonderful Widow of Eighteen Springs" by John Cage.
